Halo Infinite is having its fair share of success as 343 Industries’ latest installment had its launch at the end of last year. It even had over 20 million players joined up to last week which makes it the largest launch in franschise history.
There was just one problem. Halo Infinite’s Big Team Battle was having a lot of connectivity issues preventing a lot of players from entering the game mode, or just after a few tries. The fix they implemented on January 19th was not able to fix all the issues and the problem persisted.
Senior community manager John Junyszek announced that another fix will see the light on February 3. This update should bring back stability to the games 12vs12 game mode.
“Using the telemetry we received from the hotfix on January 19, we were able to make a new build with an update that we believe should address the core issue impacting the BTB playlist. The studio ran a successful playtest today and plans to send it off for certification on Monday. After it’s sent off, it will take some time to go through the certification process and to find out if it’s approved. Once it’s approved, we’ll begin preparing to release it to the public. Since there’s still a little more of the internal release process to go through, the earliest we’d expect this hotfix to land would be next Thursday, February 3.”
Alongside the hotfix 343 industries will also release a fix at the beginning of season 2 to the visual misplacement of some armor effect that can be obtained through the now running Cyber Showdown effect.
“Eagle-eyed players noticed these two Armor Effects weren’t absolutely, perfectly aligned with their Spartans’ helmets, spurring some light-hearted memes. Don’t worry though, we’ve busted out our levels and protractors and will get these centered when Season 2 rolls around”.
