Dying Light 2: Stay Human Delayed on Switch, Other Consoles Unaffected.

Dying Light 2: Stay Human is set to release next month on all consoles and pc. After some initial delays they moved the release date to February 4th 2022 last September.
The game Lead Desinger, Tymon Smektala, comforted fans back then by saying:
The game is going to be released next year in February, and that’s what we’ve focused on, that’s what we’ve worked on. So absolutely zero chance of [more delays] happening.
Publisher Techland now confirmed that Switch owners will have a delay, saying it expects the game to release for Switch “within six months from the original date”. Dying Light 2 on the Nintendo Switch will be available via Nintendo Switch Cloud streaming.
The reason for this sudden delay is therefore still unknown. They did comment that the delay is necessary “in order to provide fans with the gaming experience at the level they deserve and that [the developer] wants to provide”.
All other consoles are not affected and still have the release date set on February 4th 2022.
Techland has not commented yet on our questions.
Stay tuned for more updates.
