GTA 6 Confirmed by Rockstar, Game is in “Active Development”

8 years, 4 months and 17. That is how long it has been since the launch of GTA V. After releasing on Xbox 360/PS3, Xbox One/PS4 and also on PS5/X Box Series X this game has covered 3 generations of gaming consoles without giving its fans the next chapter.

Now Rockstar made their long awaited anouncement. GTA 6 is coming.

Many of you have been asking about a new entry in the Grand Theft Auto series.

With every new project, our goal is always to significantly move beyond what we've previously delivered. We're pleased to confirm that active development for the next entry in the series is underway.

Not much more is known at this time but the game is in active development. Meaning that dedicated teams are working on it and we will probably know more after E3 and GamesCom this summer. When, how and which city is next for us to wander free is not yet revealed.
